Ian brings extensive leadership experience in the Canadian and UK transit sectors, including more than a decade at the C-suite level in public and private organisations. In Ontario, he served as Chief Operating Officer at Metrolinx, leading GO Transit and UP Express.

Ian’s connection to LDAO’s mission comes from lived experience. As an adult, he discovered he was dyslexic with executive functioning challenges, realising that difficulties with reading, and focus also brought creativity, interpersonal, and analytical strengths. This insight became a turning point, inspiring new habits and routines alongside the use of technology and AI to help him thrive.

He is passionate about supporting the LDAO leadership team and championing its mission to empower individuals with learning differences, while advocating for approaches that help people succeed and flourish in both school and the workplace.
