The Great Read-Along 2026

Let’s Read Together on October 22

On October 22, people across Canada are coming together for The Great Read-Along, a national celebration of reading and a collective movement supporting young people who learn differently.

Last year, more than 137,000 people participated and logged 3.8 million minutes of shared reading. This year, the goal is even bigger: 6,000,000 minutes of reading across Canada.

Taking part is simple:

  • Register for The Great Read-Along.
  • Choose a reading time: 15, 30, 45, or 60 minutes.
  • Read together on October 22 with your class, school, workplace, family, or community.
  • Add your minutes to the national goal of 6,000,000 minutes.

 

The Great Read-Along brings people together around the joy of reading while helping build awareness and support for young people who learn differently.

Registration opens September 15.
