Remembering CEO Lawrence Barns: A Tireless Advocate for Individuals with Learning Disabilities

It is with deep sadness that the Learning Disabilities Association of Ontario (LDAO) announces the passing of Lawrence Barns, the President and Chief Executive Officer of LDAO, on June 19, 2024, at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital after a short battle with illness.

LDAO, its staff, board and Chapters across Ontario are saddened by the passing of Diane Wagner

Diane served at LDAO with a commitment to helping every induvial that needed her expertise, over her long and distinguished career. She truly would always do anything she could to assist our community. Our condolences and thoughts are with her husband Gerry, her family, and friends. She truly left a legacy at LDAO with over 30 years of service, will continue our mission to honour her. Thank you Diane !!! Lawrence Barns President and CEO
