A Dedicated Contributor to the Mission of LDAO
The Learning Disabilities Association of Ontario (LDAO) remembers and honours Karen Quinn, who passed away on June 28, 2022, after a short illness.
Karen devoted over 38 years of her professional life to LDAO, helping shape the organization with her steadfast commitment, kindness, and care. Throughout her tenure, she played an essential role in supporting the association’s mission — contributing to its growth, stability, and ability to serve individuals with learning disabilities across the province.
Karen was deeply respected by colleagues and collaborators for her thoughtful approach, quiet strength, and strong sense of community. She brought warmth, humour, and heart to her work, and she left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of working with her.
Her legacy at LDAO lives on in the programs she helped build, the relationships she nurtured, and the organizational values she embodied so fully. We are grateful for her years of service and the compassion she shared so generously.
