About the workshop:

Being a caregiver is a very important role; so important, that we often forget to take care of ourselves. Join us for this presentation, where we will learn about some common caregiver experiences, such as empathic strain and burnout. We will learn strategies for practicing self-care, coping, and setting boundaries. Resources will be provided.

About the presenter:

Angela Heeley is the Mental Health Promotion and Education Coordinator for CMHAWW and has been with the agency for over 10 years in a variety of roles. This includes crisis support, group facilitation/support for adults with mental health concerns, outreach, adult family education, and suicide intervention. She sits on various committees in the community, and helps to plan events related to mental health. Angela is a certified Mental Health First Aid, Mental Health Works, and SafeTALK instructor.

When: Wednesday, April 21st, 2021 6:30 pm-8:30 pm
