Understanding Dyslexia—A Cognitive Approach

Learning Disabilities Association  of Halton 2011 – 2012 Lecture Series

The presentation focuses on brain areas related to Dyslexia and the specific role that each of these cognitive areas has when presented with a reading task. It will include a demonstration of cognitive exercises that strengthen these individual areas, thereby addressing the underlying problem.

Presenter: Jennifer Richmond B.A., M.A.

Jennifer Richmond is a Program Coordinator with  the Arrowsmith Program. She holds an Honours B.A. in Psychology and a Masters degree in Community Development and Education. She has worked as a Research Assistant at York University and as Program Support Coordinator at St. Matthew’s Bracondale House.
